My Weekend

So, over the weekend I was house sitting, and these were their pets! So cute, and friendly too :) It was fun!

My cat, Mittens getting into the Halloween spirit LOL.

We went to the fair.
The fair is definitely not what it used to be, as a little kid. I used to wait every year just for the fair to come, so I could ride the roller coasters, grab a corn dog and some cotton candy, and check out the exhibits. Now, it's just crowded, I don't ride the rides and there's not that much to look at. Don't get me wrong, I still had a lot of fun, but I guess as you get older, some of the things that used to excited you, just don't have the same effect. We looked around at the booths, checked out some of the rides, and headed to the Kellie Pickler concert, which was our main reason for going.
So, the chick in the left corner is supposed to be Carrie Underwood...hahahah

We had to pick up our meet and greet passes as soon as we got there, and they'd apparently given us tickets into the fair as well. Then, later on, it got us backstage, and we had VIP seats to the show. I felt special; we even had an escort showing us to our seats and everything! Kellie is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She really does take the time with each person as long as each person seems to want to engage in conversation with her. My parents and I talked with her a few minutes, took pictures with her, and she had even offered to sign the picture of us together at CMA Fest when she saw my mom holding it, which I thought was extremely nice of her! After that, we headed to our seats and were ready for the show. She sang all of her hits, some other more obscure ones, and a few new ones from her CD that she is currently working on. I'm gonna try to post some videos from the concert later this week!

My mom and I

Today, we went to church, which was a great message about commitment and how people these days give up too easily, and throw in the towel. It'll be so worth it in the end though, if we stick it out for the plans God has for us. After, we had lunch with my aunt and uncle at Olive Garden, and they came back to our house for the rest of the afternoon. Then, my mom and I ran out to check on the house that I was sitting for, and went to F.Y.E where I picked up One Tree Hill. I was so excited, and now I can finally start watching it! WOO HOO :D We grabbed Subway on the way home, and now I'm just chillin. It has been a great weekend, but it's back to the old grind tomorrow :-/ I have to give a speech, but it shouldn't be too bad...it's on Taylor Swift, after all.

That's all for now,
Shelby

Hope you all have a great Monday, and a fabulous rest of the week!
